The group of three acadians, Le Mal de Trois Mâles, returns to Moncton in February with their new tour. They will present their conference show (New Window). In addition to Moncton, other cities in New Brunswick receive the presentation, including Grand-Sault, Edmundston and Bouctouche.
The tour in Canada begins this Wednesday in Ontario. They will attend the Contact Ontarois event, which brings together Canadian Francophone artists in Ottawa.
Marty, Frank Williams, and Guy Godin use their injuries to create a performance conference aimed at eliminating prejudice against mental health. They believe music helps the public talk about mental illness.
The three discuss difficult topics such as suicide and depression and share lived experiences. The concept offers a mix of testimonials and songs.
In rural areas we must be tough, we men. We're guys who climb poles or are lumberjacks. It is precisely through programs such as ours and awareness that we will eliminate mental health taboos, Marty explains.
