RCMP seek to identify person of interest following assault

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest following an assault in Moncton, N.B.

On January 19, 2020, shortly after 1:30 a.m., police responded to a call at the Days Inn & Suites on Mountain Road. Upon arrival, police located a 35-year-old man who had been injured outside the hotel. He was transported to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The Codiac RCMP has been investigating the incident, and is now releasing a surveillance picture of a man who is considered a person of interest and may have information relevant to the investigation.

Anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed activity that could have been related to the incident, or who recognizes the man in the attached photo, is asked to contact the Codiac RCMP at 506-857-2400.
